This is the privacy policy for Speedwell Sound Therapy. The Founder Angela Durkan is committed to keeping your data safe and secure. Speedwell Sound Therapy will ensure and prioritise secure personal record keeping and confidential data management in relation to the services provided.

The purposes for which we will use and process your data.

Speedwell Sound Therapy collects minimal information to establish who is attending at one of the Services on offer. This can be achieved through text, Messenger, Emails, Telephone, Facebook or Website and ticket services such as Eventbrite. All devices used by Speedwell Sound therapy are password protected.

The details collected via Eventbrite are of minimum requirement and used only to establish a contact detail via Email should you need to be notified if an event is postponed or cancelled or a refund is requested by you. Eventbrite collect bank details for purchases of tickets through their secure network which are not shared with Speedwell Sound Therapy. When you purchase in this way your are agreeing to their Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions in relation to the security of that data.

Consent

Group Sound Therapy - Consent to participate in a Group Sound Therapy treatment is required at the in person session, this is in the form of a signature and held on paper. You are also required to sign that you have read and understood the Contraindications presented to you at the time and whether you have any allergies to any of the cakes and milks offered. This is collected in order that your facilitator is fully informed and in line with our industries guidelines and best practice. These paper copies are then held for a period of 7 years in a secure cabinet in a locked room. After 7 years has lapsed they are destroyed.

Individual Therapy sessions - During 121 Sessions a Consent to Participate form is utilised to outline who is attending and any medical issues relating to Contraindications. An Email address and emergency contact is required. This Consent form is held in a secure location and is held for 7 years in line with our industry guidelines after which it will be destroyed. No electronic copy is held.

Retreats - A Retreat consent form is utilised to outline who is attending and any medical issues relating to Contraindications. An Email address and emergency contact is required. This Consent form is held in a secure location and is held for 7 years in line with our industry guidelines after which it will be destroyed. Electronic copies are sent out to participants via e Mail and returned by E Mail, they are then printed off and held in a secure cupboard for 7 years and thereafter destroyed. All electronic copies are deleted after printing.

All information collected during the course of a group booking , purchases of a ticket, or a personal session, and retreats is purely held in the strictest confidence and is not shared, distributed or leased to any third parties whatsoever unless requested under a legal order.

If you are a client or potential client  and have contacted Speedwell Sound Therapy via Email then your Email will only be utilised in accordance with the working relationship between us.

Analytics and Cookies

Google analytics is used to establish how the Website is being interacted with and analyses its performance.

The lawful basis for which we will process your information.

Under GDPR we have to make everyone whose data we hold or whose data we may be collecting aware of the lawful basis under which we will be processing your data. Any breaches of Speedwell Sound Therapy Website will be reported within 48 hours to the relevant authorities.

Legitimate Interest.

There may be times when we use your information if we feel there is a reason of legitimate interest to do so. For example, to inform you of changes to our privacy policy. We may also contact you to inform you of changes to our business or new services that we offer if we deem them to be relevant to you. Third parties.

Most of our data we collect directly from you, however Speedwell Sound therapy can receive referrals from a third party. The information we are given is minimal and only what is necessary to make contact with you; name and Email address or phone number, we will only use the data in relation to the work we are undertaking for you and on occasion under the lawful basis of legitimate interest as outlined above.

We use third party software on occasion when processing some of your data. The software companies that we use comply with GDPR. They are: Eventbrite and Squarespace

Your rights and your data.

You have the right to request to see the information that we hold about you.

You have the right ask us to amend any data we hold about you which is not accurate.

You have the right to request that we delete your data.

In some circumstances this may not be possible if we need to retain some of your data to comply with legal obligations that we have. We will notify you if this is the case.

You have the right to restrict us to use your data for certain purposes.
